The 74th Special Name-list of Variable Stars
We present the Name-list introducing GCVS names for 3153 variable starsdiscovered by the Hipparcos mission.
| Subdwarf bolometric corrections
UBVRIJHK photometry is presented for dwarfs and subdwarfs with effectivetemperatures of 4600 to 6300 K. Bolometric corrections are derived bynumerically integrating over the fluxes and by using model atmospheresto correct the fluxes shortward of the U bandpass and longward of the Kbandpass. It is found that the bolometric corrections of subdwarfsdepart significantly from those of Population I dwarfs at temperaturesgreater than about 5200 K. Synthetic line-blanketed UBV and uvby colorsare also presented for model atmospheres with log g = 4.5, logarithmicheavy-element abundances of 0, -1, -2, and effective temperatures of5000 to 6500 K.
