It's just a beginning.
Interesting situation - there're tons of astronomical data on internet, but very little really easy to use visual tools to present that data online.
We're close to release interfaces to visualize other surveys in a way we do it with SDSS.

(FYI for international folks, The Star Hustler is a weekly astronomy show that appeared on Public Broadcasting Stations in the US)

Any thoughts to a mashup between this site and places like Heavens-Above ?

If you guys open up the API a little more to allow polygons and arc lines I'd love to try drawing satellite tracks, iridium flare events, etc...

it would be a great way to take amateur satellite observing and astronomy to a new level.

We thought about adding other objects like planets and satellites to the Map. The idea is to implement position calculations in AJAX way and draw object over the Map in real time using JavaScript. Your expertise would definitely help us. We also open for any API suggestions you think would be useful.
